h3D Space (Head Space) is the umbrella moniker for VIA’s live visual environment that spans Friday & Saturday events. Arguably VIA’s most ambitious and all-encompassing visual arts project to date, h3D Space is a combination of curated, live, and crowd-sourced imagery with virtual appearances from artist-avatars. Each night approaches CGI video content and IRL/virtual “presence” from a different angle and expresses a fascination with the tension between hi-gloss spectacles and the inherent imperfections in 3D technology.
FRIDAY NIGHT: GREEN ROOM
Showcasing virtual characters, figures, faces, avatars and audience members themselves in a playful exploration of narcissism, pseudo-celebrity, and remixing the body. Get a 3D scan of your face on-site with Tech Shop that will be incorporated into the mix. These will also be available for download.
